It's always a struggle to eat breakfast. Since I rarely feel hungry, I get sucked into a vicious circle. Hunger leads to low blood sugar. Low blood sugar leads inevitably to a headache and debilitating nausea.
So I have to consciously remind myself that when I have a headache, before lunging for the drugs, I should try eating something, even whn I am so nauseated that the thought of putting food in my belly seems repugnant.
Next, add the complications of being a university student with a Type A personality. It's difficult to stop working when there is a deadline involved.
So, two questions:
1) Did I remember to eat today? Was it something healthy?
2) If I can't remember, does that mean my brain has shut down all non-essential processes, in a effort to conserve energy, because it wants food?
I think I'll have some cereal.
